Styrenix Performance Materials Ltd (STYRENIX) Q1FY27 Management Mirror - Jun-2026 Qtr
FY26 Standalone Volume Growth Reported at 5.2%, Below Initial 12.5% Guidance; Q1 FY27 Volumes Contract 26% on Volatile Pricing
Management's initial guidance for FY26 volume growth was 12.5%. During the Dec'25 Qtr concall, this guidance was downgraded, with expectations lowered due to sluggish polystyrene segment performance in the first half of the fiscal year. In the Mar'26 Qtr results, FY26 standalone sales volume was reported at 195 KT, representing a 5.2% YoY growth, falling short of the initial 12.5% target. By the Jun'26 Qtr concall, management reported Q1 FY27 standalone sales volume dipped by 26% YoY to 38.9 KT. This decline was driven by a 15% to 25% volume drop across segments as high pricing volatility caused cautious buying behavior, primarily in the unorganized sector, while OEM demand remained structurally less affected. Across all three quarters, the company intentionally limited participation in the highly competitive, low-margin unorganized General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) market.
