BEML Unveils India’s First Indigenous 60-Ton Electric Dump Truck On 30th Sep'26, BEML unveiled India’s first indigenously developed 60-ton electric dump truck, the BH60-EV, engineered at its Mysuru facility. Powered by a 1,000 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the vehicle offers a 54,500 kg payload capacity and a 36.4 cubic-metre body. Designed to cut operating costs by 40–60% versus diesel alternatives, it reduces ~130 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually per unit. Supported by integrated charging infrastructure, this launch strengthens BEML’s heavy-duty sustainable mining machinery lineup.
