IEX Achieves Record 13.94 BU Traded Volume in August 2026 IEX reported a record monthly electricity volume of 13.94 BU in Aug'26, up 20.2% YoY, driven by a 12.85% YoY rise in national energy consumption. Segment performance was robust: Day-Ahead Market (DAM) volume grew 15.0% YoY to 5,517 MU, Real-Time Market (RTM) increased 10.6% YoY to 5,565 MU, and Term-Ahead Market (TAM) surged 111.3% YoY to 1,765 MU. Higher demand pushed DAM and RTM average clearing prices up to Rs 4.88/unit (+22% YoY) and Rs 4.41/unit (+30.4% YoY). However, Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) volumes dropped 86.6% YoY.
