NTPC REL Wins 500 MW Capacity in SECI's Peak Power Tender NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has won 500 MW of contracted capacity in an e-reverse auction held by SECI on Aug 21, '26. The capacity was secured under the 6000 MWh (1500 MW x 4 Hrs) Assured Peak Power Tender (FDRE-IX) for ISTS-Connected RE Projects. NTPC REL, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, emerged as a successful bidder with a discovered tariff of ₹6.00/kWh. This win expands NTPC's renewable energy portfolio and secures a long-term power supply agreement at a competitive rate.

NTPC Green Energy Files FY26 Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) filed its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report for FY25-26 on 05 Aug'26. For FY26, power generation constituted 99.21% of turnover, with solar at 96.05% and wind at 3.16%. The company reported a turnover of Rs. 2,770.89 crore and a net worth of Rs. 18,965.19 crore. Total GHG emissions were 31,466 metric tonnes of CO2 equivalent (Scope 1+2). Accounts payable days increased to 182.10 from a restated 121.43 in FY25. The permanent employee turnover rate rose to 6.2% from 3.12% YoY.
